About Me

Welcome and thank you so much for stopping by to check out my blog! I started this website to wax poetic about my love for food+nutrition and to share all my kitchen adventures. I will be posting my favorite recipes, talking seasonal ingredients, baking with the grains left over from home-brewing shenanigans, and tackling my favorite challenge: camp cooking.

I grew up on the central coast of California, chowing down on fish tacos with sand between by toes. I graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelors of Science in Dietetics and minor in Biology, where I worked as an undergraduate teaching assistant, peer nutrition counselor, and was taught community classes promoting healthy eating on a budget. After graduating I sat for my credentialing exam and becoming a Registered Nutrition and Dietetic Technician, I worked as part of the nutrition care team at a hospitals in the San Francisco Bay Area. I live in the East Bay with my hubby and one very old, fluffy cat. When I am not making a mess of my growing apron collection, you can find me covered in dirt in the garden, underwater practicing my mermaid skills (scuba diving), or eating my way across the globe.

I am excited share all my adventures in cooking and baking with you! Thank you for following along.
